Prophecies of Migratory Birds

The performance was created for the “Alexandrinsky in Alexandria. Theatrical Saturday” project — a festive programme marking the 200th anniversary of Alexandria Park at the Peterhof museum estate. It premiered on July 11, 2026, in the Farm Palace Garden at Alexandria Park.

The inspiration came from the birds that return to Alexandria Park to nest every summer. Eight performers in the animalistic costumes of different bird species present a choreographic score in the language of contemporary dance and subtle behavioural observation. Audiences are handed theatre binoculars — a gesture nodding to the court culture of observation, while also inviting a close look at the fragile poetics of movement.

The musical environment was created by Ilya Pucheglazov, curator of electronic music programmes at the Alexandrinsky Theatre's New Stage — at the intersection of acoustic textures and electronic impulses, with live instruments.

AELITA PRODUCTION has already worked with producer Misha Kazmiruk — the company brought the show “Stories. Of Earth and Heaven” to the Alexandrinsky Theatre's New Stage, and he curated that performance too. But this is the company's first time working with OMYT.
