A physical theatre performance-reflection on a distress signal that is sent, but the disaster never comes — on getting lost inside time without losing touch with your real self.

Mayday is the international radiotelephony distress signal, used in situations posing an immediate threat to human life. But what if the signal has been sent and the disaster never comes? What if the fall drags on, fear crosses every limit and grows into endless waiting? And which is worse — the catastrophe, or waiting for the catastrophe? Or maybe the catastrophe is only an illusion, a dream?

AELITA PRODUCTION has already worked with producer Misha Kazmiruk — the company brought the show “Stories. Of Earth and Heaven” to the Alexandrinsky Theatre's New Stage, and he curated that performance too. But this is the company's first time working with OMYT.
