Open Book Club Meeting

We often think we're not understood because we "explained badly", or that the other person "understands badly". Both are lies. Here we create a form in which understanding can happen.

AELITA COMMUNITY — language environment, a place where people grow into big ideas first, and then into their own — where they learn to tell their own desires from everyone else's, their fate from their parents' scripts, and closeness from economics.

You truly exist only where you think, feel, experience, want, and act unlike everyone else. There is no such thing as “everyone.” What exists are parental prescriptions, the code of Instagram*-conformity, cultural scripts... But none of that is a person.

For over 13 years Katya has been reading books and leading these meetings. A book, a film, a painting, or a play is a tool for her — you can use it, or not.

This is an open, free meeting — a first look at the format before joining the ongoing main stream.

We'll spend the year reading — from psychology to philosophy and fiction — and taking on a classic question: why do people choose to be together, when they could just as easily not. The open meeting opens the season — a first look at the club's format before joining the ongoing stream.
