Business Programme · “Tochka Cuire”
The Russian Cultural Code in Contemporary Clothing
About the talk
On how hand embroidery, silhouette and material translate a recognisable Russian code into the language of clothes people wear today — using the “Molodo-Zeleno” collections as an example.
The speaker
Maria Pavlova is a designer and embroiderer from Kozelsk, author of the collections of the “Molodo-Zeleno” brand founded by her mother Tatyana Pavlova. The brand’s collections have been shown at Moscow’s Gostiny Dvor at the “Unique Russia” forum and in Kaluga at the “Krepko Sshito” fashion festival; “Molodo-Zeleno” costumes were made for the AELITA PRODUCTION production “Stories. Of the Earthly and the Heavenly”.
The same evening
The same evening, a little earlier, at 6 pm — the “Molodo-Zeleno” fashion show: the lecture continues the show with a conversation about what the looks are made of.
By invitation only
The lecture takes place on 22 October, the festival’s opening day — admission by invitation, no registration required.
