About the production
Young nobleman Alexey Alexeyevich lives alone on his estate, obsessed with the portrait of a distant relative — he only dreams that she might come to life and bring him happiness. One day the mysterious Count Cagliostro arrives at his house, together with his wife Maria and a strange servant, Margadon. Alexey persuades the count to grant his wish.
But the granted wish brings no happiness: the young man is already in love with the count's own wife. Where do reckless dreams lead, and how do dangerous experiments with love end — the production answers these questions.
At the festival the show is presented under the short title "Cagliostro."
