Waiting for Godot

An absurdist play by Samuel Beckett. Many critics have puzzled over what it is really about and what lies between the lines of a work ranked among the ten greatest plays in the history of literature.

Two men wait for a third throughout the entire play — what is this story about? Who is this third person? Why does he keep promising to come, yet never arrives?

Every answer to this question raises at least three more. We tried to look between the lines — and this is what we found.
